Knott’s Berry Farm:
As a child growing up in Southern California, I had the great privilege of having Disneyland, Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, the Wild Animal Park, Six Flags, and Knott’s Berry Farm at my doorstep, not to mention the beach. I have great memories at each and every one of these places. However, out of all the great theme parks, Knott’s is the one that stands out in my childhood. Yes, Disneyland is the HAPPIEST place on earth, and Six Flags has some great rides. But when I went to those parks, I was scared of roller coasters. I never fully took advantage of the amazing times that could have been had. Knott’s Berry Farm was my coming out party. I gathered up the courage, and took a ride on Ghost Rider, and I loved it.
And why stop at Ghost Rider? Now Knott’s offers some great coasters, such as Montezooma’s Revenge, Boomerang, Xcelerator, Silver Bullet and the Sierra Sidewinder. Each a completely different experience, Knott’s has a great assortment of rides for anyone.
Not only do you get to spend a day riding some fantastic rides, but also the food at Knott’s is great. The home-cooked chicken dinner right outside of the park is a must whenever you leave Knott’s. For a family, going to theme parks can get very expensive, and in a down economy like we are having right now, those extra dollars need to be spend carefully.
However! There is a solution. By coming to VisitSouthernCalifornia.net, families need not deprive themselves of the great times and memories that can be created at Knott’s!
